Pre-Season Friendly
Edgware Town 1 - North Greenford United 1
Edgware fielded a stong side, however last season's leading scorer Richard Morton and club Captain Rory Smith were sidelined though injury.
North Greenford looked sharp and gave the home side a few problems, but ex premiership star Junior Lewis held the 'Wares' backline together ably.
North Greenford came closest to breaking the deadlock when a cracking effort from distance shaved the top of the crossbar, at the other end Edgware carved out few real goal scoring opportunities in a scoreless first half.
Both sides had to get to grips with the wet conditions as the heavens opened in the second period, Greg Ngoyi was always a threat to the North Greenford defenders with his pace, specially on the zippy surface.
Mid way through the half North Greenford took the lead with a header at the far post from a well taken corner. Edgware pressed for the equaliser with Adam Wallace and Ngoyi always a danger and it was Adam Wallace's slight touch on the ball that gave the home side an equaliser in the 85th minute, and seal the 'Wares' second draw of their pre season.
